The Challenge:
Pets can’t talk to relay their symptoms, pain or illnesses
No pet platform exists that collects live pet data from monitoring devices and authoritative, informed sources, perform data analysis and generate meaningful results and health recommendations.
Petrics addresses this challenge via:
- Using Petrics Smart Devices to collect pet data
- Work across the pet community to collect data from other pet companies, universities, pharma, insurance and open-source data/studies
- Petrics AI will perform analysis of the data and information to generate indicators, warnings and trends for common pet issues.
The goal is a pet health ecosystem which communicates to the pet’s owner and their pet health provider. Instead of the vet only seeing the symptoms which exist during a visit the vet will be able to view the pet’s information collected over time.
Petrics alone can’t tackle this challenge. Success will require effort from many entities. We welcome collaboration on this endeavor.
Overview
The Petrics Cloud is used for storage and retrieval of pet data and information. Data gets to the Cloud via the home router or pet owners smart phone, which accesses the internet. The router Wi-Fi communicates with the Petrics Smart Devices in the home.
These include, but are not limited to, the smart scale, smart pet bed, smart pet feeder, smart water dish, camera and other devices.
The pet has a smart pet collar which has a low power Bluetooth (BT) module which connects with and shares data with the Petrics smart devices such as the smart scale.
The in-home smart devices can identify which pet is at the smart water bowl even if your pets are close together. So, multiple pets can be identified and their eating, drinking, etc., activities can be tracked and recorded separately.
The analyzed data from the smart devices is then accessible to the pet owner via the Petrics App on their smart phone or other internet enabled device.
Petrics App
- The App allows entry and display of: Breed, age, lifestyle, diet, medications, vaccinations, weight, activity, existing health conditions and data collected via smart devices
- Petrics AI will analyze the collected data to generate indicators, warnings and trends for common pet issues
- Enables pet owners to better manage their pet’s well being
- Provides veterinarians more information for diagnosis and treatment of pet issues
- Alarms if the pet is off the property and allows the pet owner to track the pet if off of the property
Petrics Smart Collar
Tracks the pet’s movement and sleep habits, but also identifies the pet to the smart devices in the home.
Multiple pets can be identified via their respective smart collars so the data from each pet activity can be tracked and recorded separately.
The collar is Bluetooth enabled allowing transmission of the pet’s activity and sleeping habits to any of the in-home smart devices. The in-home smart device then transmits the data to the home router which transmits to the Petrics Cloud for analysis.
Petrics Smart Scale
Changes in weight may signal an underlying symptom. The smart scale measures your pet’s weight along with the date and time of the measurement. It has built in Wi-Fi so the data can be transmitted, analyzed and displayed in the app. The smart scale also has Bluetooth to communicate with the smart collar. If you have multiple pets the scale will know which pet is on the scale.
